What Tapee Tea Is

Tapee Tea is a traditional Thai herbal tea made from fifteen botanicals — roots, barks, spices, flowers and herbs — finely ground and sealed into individual gold-foil teabags. It is naturally caffeine-free, with no added sugar and no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, and every one of the fifteen botanicals is named on the pack.

The blend is prepared and packed in Thailand, following a recipe rooted in Thai tea tradition. One golden teabag brews one cup: a deep red-amber infusion, woody and earthy, with a warm spice finish.

Why Powder-Filled Teabags?

Instead of coarse-cut herbs, each teabag contains the fifteen botanicals ground to a fine powder. Finer grinding exposes far more of each herb to the water, so the cup draws more from the blend in the same steeping time.

  • Fuller, rounder flavor and aroma in a single steep
  • A more complete infusion than cut-herb bags
  • No measuring, no strainer — one bag, one cup

Taste & Aroma

Expect a smooth, earthy cup led by vetiver and the rhizomes, layered with warm spice from cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg and star anise, and lifted by a light floral thread of orange blossom. The liquor brews to a deep red-amber, with a woody aroma and a gently spiced, herbaceous finish. It drinks well hot, and holds its character poured over ice.

Packaging — What’s Inside Your Pack

Each single-cup portion of the ground fifteen-herb blend is sealed in its own gold-foil teabag. Teabags are packed five to a resealable pouch, and packs are simply multiples of those pouches:

  • 25 teabags — 5 pouches of 5
  • 50 teabags — 10 pouches
  • 100 teabags — 20 pouches
  • Larger packs (150, 250, 500) follow the same 5-per-pouch format

The number on the pack is the exact count of golden teabags you receive — one teabag per cup, no partial portions.

How to Brew

  1. Place one golden teabag in a cup.
  2. Pour over 250–300 ml of hot water.
  3. Steep for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Stir gently once to help the fine powder infuse fully.
  5. Enjoy hot, or chill and serve over ice.
